But I mean, have you ever thought about every process that goes into that piece of direct mail? At L & D Mail Masters, we handle to process from beginning to end. Just watch; this is a day in the life of a direct mail piece.
South by Southwest, SXSW, South By, SX. Whatever you call it, it is THE destination “to celebrate the convergence of the interactive, film and music industries.” How do these industries overlap? How do these industries impact one another? How will the latest technology in these industries drive innovation in industries like ours and the clients we serve? This past week, I went to find out.

One of the greatest benefits of direct mail is its high open rate; another benefit is its high response rate. According to Hubspot, typical response rates for a direct mail campaign range from about 1% to 5%. Many executives are fueled more by return on investment (ROI) rather than response rates, though, they go hand-in-hand. While we can talk until we’re blue in the face about ways to have a monumental campaign using direct mail, we’d like to share ways to decrease the cost of your direct mail campaign resulting in a higher ROI. [It’s simple math. If Susie spends $5 on her Lemonade Stand to make $15, she will be happier if she is able to spend just $3.50 by employing cost cutting techniques in order to make that $15.]

The Super Bowl is football’s biggest night; a five-hour spectacle of tackles, touchdowns and field goals. February 4, 2018 may go down in history as one of the best Super Bowl games in history. With minutes of the best scripts to increase brand identity in between plays, many advertisers chose to focus on service and social responsibility while many went for the laughs. L & D Mail Masters has picked its top 5 commercials from Super Bowl 52 for your enjoyment!
Incorporated in 2004, the New Albany-Floyd County Education Foundation has been a resource to supplement and pay for additional education programs to improve student performance but are not funded by The State of Indiana or the federal government. Since 2011, the foundation has granted more than $600,000 to teachers in the New Albany-Floyd County School Corporation. The Foundation also runs the “Blessings in a Backpack” program, which sends bags full of ready-to-eat food home on weekends to students in need. These types of programs are completely funded by donations. They attribute much of their marketing successes to L & D Mail Masters. Tyler Bliss, Executive Director of New Albany-Floyd County Education Foundation, spoke to L & D Mail Masters about their partnership.
When you call L & D Mail Masters, chances are you’ll be greeted by Tracy Bishop. She’s a 20-year L & D Mail Masters vet, starting in the data department in May of 1998. She has worked her way to the receptionist desk where she does more than interact with the customer; she proofs postcards, letters, business cards, books and everything in between.
Have you ever looked back on your high-school self-reflecting on some key things you would have done differently? Maybe you would have done more extracurricular activities. Maybe you would have gotten involved with Student Government. Or, maybe, just maybe you would have taken education a bit more seriously. I know that’s what I would have done. Who knew scholarships were so important? You mean college had the potential of being completely free? Or, who knew that Typing and Excel class would have come in handy all these years later? How about those study hall hours? Yes, those!
